Hi, I’m Brian Robinson, founder of RobTech Innovations.

A Little About Me

I’m driven by learning, curiosity, and solving complex engineering problems. That passion has shaped a career spanning high‑performance product design, composites, and advanced mechanical engineering.

For 13 years, I served as a Mountain Bike Design Engineer at Specialized Bicycle Components, working on everything from World Cup downhill race bikes to aluminum hardtails. My hands-on experience includes composites, alloy forging, welding, injection‑molded components, and electronic integration.

Before entering the bicycle industry, I worked in the aerospace sector at Goodrich Corporation in their propulsion division.

My engineering journey began at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where the “learn by doing” philosophy resonated deeply. Under the mentorship of professors—who shared my love for mountain biking—I designed and built a downhill mountain bike for my Single Track Vehicle Design course. That’s where ROBTECH was born.

I approach every new problem with curiosity, energy, and a commitment to excellence. I love collaborating with clients to help bring their ideas to life. I look forward to hearing how I can support your vision.

Specialized Gravity Racing Involvement

For over a decade at Specialized, I dedicated my career to making our Downhill athletes as fast—and as unstoppable—as possible. As the lead engineer on our race bikes for the past six years, I’ve been responsible for designing, engineering, and rapidly iterating countless custom variations to give our riders every competitive advantage. This role pushed me technically and creatively, and it remains one of the most rewarding and challenging chapters of my engineering journey.
